Fellowship and Serving
Ladies’ Aid
Ladies’ Aid meets the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 A.M. from September through May. After their meetings, they join together to eat lunch at the church. During the year, the ladies attend the WMS rallies; involve themselves in service projects for the Martin Luther Home in Saginaw, Frankenmuth Care Center and Frankenmuth Lutheran Home; and help out with decorations and other things around the church.
Friendship Club
Friendship Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 11:00 A.M. from September through May. Each meeting consists of a short business meeting, a short topic of study or program presented by our Pastor and then adjournment to a local restaurant for dinner and a friendly visit. Some projects of the Friendship Club have been sponsoring coffee and rolls for our Friendship Sundays and our soup suppers or pancake breakfasts.
Kids’ Bible Club
Saturday afternoon fun with Jesus! They meet the third Saturday of each month, September through May, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. for crafts, movies and snacks.
Choir
Choir meets Thursday night at 7:00 P.M. preparing songs for Sundays throughout the church year. We sing two choir concerts during the year, one in December around Christmas time, the other on Easter Sunday.
Altar Guild
A group of women from our congregation are members of the Altar Guild. Responsibilities are to take care of the church sanctuary, change altar hangings for the appropriate Sundays of the church year, set up the Communion ware for Communion services, handle the floral arrangements and decorate for Christmas and Easter. The Altar Guild meets twice a year on the first Monday in April and October at 7:00 P.M.
Sunshine Committee
During the year, the Sunshine Committee meets to visit members of the church who are shut in, living in the Frankenmuth Tender Center or Frankenmuth Lutheran Home.
Banner Committee
Our Banner Committee meets periodically to make different banners and wall hangings for our church and parish center. Contact the church office by phone or email for dates and times.
Prayer Chain
We have been meeting every other week joining together to pray for those who are sick, facing surgery, need comfort when a loved one passes away or simply need Christian guidance for a decision which has to be made. Let us know your needs. Everything is very confidential.
